Description:

There's uninhibited expression and an explicit sense of freedom and liberation in the model's pose as she's released,  gazing across the barren desert landscape. But from what..?

The figure and landscape are painted entirely in 'Vandyke Brown' paint in a sketch style, applied very lightly to lessen the shade effect, over a very light three tone 'Naples Yellow' background which was painted with a knife and faded light to dark from top to bottom.

(Unfortunately my digital camera hasn't reproduced the background colours very accurately)
