The 'Open Edition Artist's Prints' are produced by myself 'on demand' using my professional Epson Stylus Pro 7880 wide format printer on the highest quality Epson 350gsm heavyweight Premium Satin poly/cotton (65/35) water resistant art canvas at a high definition 2880 x 1440 dpi and using UV resistant 9 colour 100% pigmented inks guaranteed lightfast for 75 years. This canvas has a glossy surface and may be stretched for framing if required. I can also print on heavyweight Hahnemühle (or equal) fine art paper if required and subject to the quantity of prints. Each print is individually reproduced, QC examined and passed by myself to authenticate its origin and verify its quality. Please see the Prints page for further details. Print prices are uniform, depending only upon size. Although all artwork is shown in my galleries in the colours created, I can produce prints in black & white should this be preferred. Please contact me for details. They are generally supplied unframed to save on shipping costs, though frames can be provided at an extra cost if required.
This print and others featured on the site can compliment many home or office settings. Several professional settings have various paintings and prints from all over the world hung up on display in waiting rooms, offices and halls. Even medical locations including doctors and Philadelphia dentist offices have different artwork throughout their rooms.
Produced in cooperation with Marty Sohl and Drew Jacoby (Thanks Marty & Drew).
American ballerina Drew Jacoby of the USA's Lines Ballet is a perfect example of modern, contemporary ballet in The Passion of Dance.
Both the ballerina and the background are painted entirely with a knife. A high level of contrast is provided and the colours made extremely rich, bold and lustrous, thus creating a very contemporary feel overall.
It's a very large, very dramatic, emotive, moody and atmospheric figurative ballet painting that would not look out of place as a feature in a lounge, study, office, music room, conservatory, bedroom, hall, landing or similar room and be a focal point to be proud of.
Contact myself for more information about this beautiful work of art, or if you would like to purchase a print. Obviously, the quality of the original painting and prints is much better than displayed here, though if you wish to make a closer inspection, please let me know of any specific area you're interested in and I'll e mail a higher resolution image to you.
Please also see the below images of a few framed prints sent to me by customers and a superb laser etched black granite slab manufactured by Picture This On Granite that's available should you be interested in purchasing it, though it is extremely high quality and obviously quite expensive. Please excuse the image quality though as they're camera photo's.
Here's what a wide variety of artists thought of it on Deviant Art, Fine Art America and Red Bubble, where you can also purchase unsigned prints, posters, postcards, mugs, t shirts, coasters, stickers and jigsaws of my artwork.
And in October 2010, in Red Bubble's 8th juried invitational Solo Exhibition, this painting was judged as '1st Place' and given a special merit 'Inspirational' award in the Traditional category, given another special merit 'Excellence' award in the 'Oil Painting' category and awarded 'Best in Show' overall! A pretty clean sweep...
