David Meeking is a self-taught artist based in Horsham, England. His work often depicts the Sussex coastline and countryside.
These semi-abstract sea & landscapes are created in oil on canvas and are inspired by nature, the changing seasons and the effect upon the contours of the coastline. David builds atmosphere through texture and mark making with no reference to any specific point of place preferring the viewer to read into the work and allow it to take them on a journey of imagination and discovery.

David works primarily using brush and palette knife. Attempting to create a division between the Abstract and realism.
