In this session, Attendees will be guided step by step by Richard in the use of painting knives. You'll get to see first hand how Richard uses a knife to capture all the details of that forever recognisble face and you'll follow along right with him. Help us celebrate the life and memory of Amy around her birthday. You can have your work framed at an additional cost and proudly hang it on your wall, remembering and honouring the life of Amy Whinehouse. 

About the Artist - Richard Young

Richard is a multi - award winning, professional artist with nearly 20 years’ experience in all aspects of the art world. He opened the R Young Art gallery in 2021 Defining his artwork style as being contemporary realism, the technique he favours is a form of segmented alla prima, completed in four wet on wet layers during each painting session: The dark shadows and undertones, the mid tones and then the highlights and light glaze effects.

Stylish, sleek and contemporary, Richard’s artwork will be a sophisticated addition to any home, hotel, restaurant or office space.

On a General Note

• Designed as an introduction to painting, our classes are relaxed and enjoyable offering a chance to learn a new skill, meet new friends and have fun, all in a high end art gallery!
• The duration of each class is 2 hours, during which refreshments will be available.
• During each class you will receive step by step guidance by an established artist who will give a live demonstration and help you create your own artwork which you can then take home. All materials are included and we even do the cleaning up!
• Ideal as a group activity with friends, for individuals looking to meet like-minded people or as a team building exercise for work colleagues, our classes are held in our gallery which offers a contemporary, stylish setting with comfortable seating for up to 12 people.

Private Events
