In this session, You will be guided step by step by Artist Richard Young in the use of painting knives. We think we can all agree John Lennon is one of the musical greats and has forever left his mark on history. Why not help celebrate and honour this icon by attending this class and walking away with your own portrait at the end. If you want to honour him further you can even get your painting framed at an additional cost and hang it with pride on your wall. You don't need to be painter or have any prior experience. Refreshments are provided so we can even raise a glass together. We hope to see you there!

About the Artist - Richard Young

Richard is a multi - award winning, professional artist with nearly 20 years’ experience in all aspects of the art world. He opened the R Young Art gallery in 2021 Defining his artwork style as being contemporary realism, the technique he favours is a form of segmented alla prima, completed in four wet on wet layers during each painting session: The dark shadows and undertones, the mid tones and then the highlights and light glaze effects.

Stylish, sleek and contemporary, Richard’s artwork will be a sophisticated addition to any home, hotel, restaurant or office space.

On a General Note

• Designed as an introduction to painting, our classes are relaxed and enjoyable offering a chance to learn a new skill, meet new friends and have fun, all in a high end art gallery!
• The duration of each class is 2 hours, during which refreshments will be available.
• During each class you will receive step by step guidance by an established artist who will give a live demonstration and help you create your own artwork which you can then take home. All materials are included and we even do the cleaning up!
• Ideal as a group activity with friends, for individuals looking to meet like-minded people or as a team building exercise for work colleagues, our classes are held in our gallery which offers a contemporary, stylish setting with comfortable seating for up to 12 people.

Private Events
