The copperwash moon bottle is thrown on the wheel using porcelain and raku clay mix to aid the thermal shock during the firing process. It is decorated with a Copper Wash solution and fired in a raku kiln and then is sawdust. The neck is polished terra sigillata and blackens by the burning sawdust. The neck is then polished to give contrast to the body.
