If you ask me, abstract artworks are the ones that creates the most discussion amongst an audience. Just like how there are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand people's eyes, abstract breaks the borders of traditional paintings and conveys emotions in more free and expressive ways, and everyone can have their own perspective on each piece.
Lets play a game. Our featured artist Lisa James has proudly created several new paintings of abstract. What do you see in the painting, before and after you recognize the title?
To me, this painting's warm and high saturated colours makes me feel the powerful heat of a crackling fire burning the world away.
This painting feels truly mysterious, as if we're diving into the deepest depths of a lake, surrounded by creatures swimming aside of us as we explore the hidden.
This piece of work has some bright, eye-catching colours of a combination of pinks and greens. Really makes me feel the lively flavour of young and wild love.
At first glance, the reds in the painting stand out as a pair of wings souring into the sky. But at the same time I feel so so tiny standing in between a canyon looking up the to its edges.
Such fascinating colours! As if we're in an apocalypse, the saviour is descending through the skies, bringing light and hope down on our lands, scaring away the darkness.
This artwork reminds me of the dark but shiny colours of seashells, laying on the beach, altogether reflecting the morning sun, a breathtaking shimmering scenery
